Okay, while this is true for women, we can make the same observation for men for any of the qualities that we have. Basically, yes, women and men are ignorant about a lot of things. It's also important to subcategorize EQ into different categories. I have noticed that womens EQ is completely different to mens EQ. Their EQ seems to be evolved for hyperfocusing on partner acquisition, relationship maintenance (female social competition) and raising children up to about 5 to 7 years old. Men have an EQ probably tailored towards hierarchical groups and related organization for successful hunting and war parties. So, for example, women simply don't care about male suffering. Not because they are horrible or somehow ignorant of our suffering, but because their EQ is not tuned for that. Millions of years ago our ancestors were more like gorilla social structures where one male had a hareem of females that he had to protect, today we have exchanged that for monogamy probably for good reasons but the vestiges of our ancestral EQ are still with us. Additionaly, female EQ seems to be hyper tuned toward noticing an infinite amount of minutia while male EQ works at a different resolution. Womens radar seems to always be on and always scanning, but, while it can scan at a high rate and notice details it doesn't necessarily have depth and notice things far afield from a different perspective. So, some of the confusion might come from us men always telling them what they want to hear and combined with them knowing their radar sees everything but not realizing the EQ depth problem. Probably a lot more can be written about this.
