Not unless you’re a gay. (files.catbox.moe)
Look up OMAD. Lots of ripped dudes eat once a day.
Do they actually do work?
I work 15 hour shifts and you can get fucked if I'm gonna physically work with that on 1 meal.
I have only eaten 1 meal a day for the last 20 years. I do work a desk job now but I was doing tree removal 12 hours per day when I started so don't tell me you can't do physical labor on one meal per day.
+1 for that. I'm on OMAD throughout the week and have been since... yea also going on 20 years. Weekends I would usually be more lax depending on my work load, but through my 20s and most of my 30s I was in the 1k lb. club weighing ~180 lbs. (squat 405 lbs., dead 415 lbs., bench 305 lbs.). And I ran 2-3 times/week for a weekly total of 15-20 miles except when marathon training in which case it was at least 3x/week for totals of >30 miles.
So yea it's very doable to be strong/healthy and eat once/day. I got into it because eating throughout the day just seemed to bog me down. Eat a bunch at night, recover and digest in sleep, rinse and repeat.
I'd say only if you're a pro bodybuilder do you need to constantly be feeding yourself, and that's because you're wasting drugs if you're not constantly eating.
It can work if tou're not stuffing your face with carbs that will make you hungry three hours later.
I prefer one meal a day and did so while working a shovel in Florida. As long as you stay hydrated, you never notice hunger because it's so hot. That one meal though, it's a big meal. You either do it or you don't because it's something that takes getting used to.
Right. People get the wrong impression because they think "all I get is supper!?". But the one meal guys the get huge on it are eating like 3500-4000 calories in that meal
I got into it because I would be ravenous after workouts which were generally pretty intense. So I'd come home at night and stuff my face, then gradually I just wasn't hungry throughout the day.
It's not a healthy way to eat... all at once like a starving Vietnamese rice farmer.
I was researching water fasts where you only drink water and add a small amount of salt, magnesium salt, and potassium salt to keep muscles from cramping like the heart.
Many of the men doing this did daily gym workouts and walking/runs. Now the only thing I read was they didn't get that break a record strength rush.
On the other hand they could not sleep more than 3 or 4 hrs a day after a week their energy levels were so high, their focus was stronger than before, and they needed to do something all the time while awake.
Now the body is in repair mode like the one meal a day but not for hours a day but 24/7 and they also said they were not hungry either.
It's the insulin that makes you lazy, tired, and hungry from eating carbs that are sugar based. The FDA pushed this shit.
If you eat once or not you can work, it's just you are more moderated so doing extreme jobs might slow your work a bit. The other thing is you burn fat like mad.
So during this fasting you'll weigh less, be healthier, have old injuries stop hurting after they are repaired like tendons or muscles they say hurt bad for a short period, then no pain after years of suffering moderate pain.
Now also the one meal unlike a full fast like Jesus and Moses did is the one you are supposed to do 2x daily according to the bible I believe it was tuesday and thursday every week and I am going to start doing this fasting regularly myself to make sure I cleanse myself before the end day comes.
So try it one day and it you have fellow workers then you can get one of them to give you a snack if you're experiencing a diabetic of hypoglysemic episode but even type 2 diabetics are usually safe for a day or a few if they intake water so not becoming dehydated.
Now a week long fast "can go months" you have to start with juice to get off like not giving a man to much water that almost died of thirst in the desert to prime your system to going back to solid food.
Also if you don't drink anything but water you apitite will be strong at mealtime but go away a 1/2 hr or so later then not hungry till next meal or waking then drink a lot of water to offset in morning till it fades. After the 3rd day the body adapts to even those urges fade to nothing from all the people I've read or seen video's.
These were many that cured their cancer with this fasting method because cancer requires insulin to live and to grow and will die quickly without it. The medical and food industry do not want people to do fasting to show this works and even the short one day fasts are good for preventing this condition.
