I saw some video about a single scene in a Japanese horror movie and that scene was pretty good. It wasn’t a jump scare. I hate when “horror” movies just toss in jump scares. That’s not suspenseful. If they’re done well they fill you with dread and foreboding. Not suprise you and call it fear. What keeps a movie scary is not knowing. Mysteries are creepier than a monster that you know
