The popular term “sus”, short for suspicious which gained popularity from the hit online video game among us where players interrogate and kill their friends to try and see who the murderer is(often being said to a player when they were suspected of being the murder, e.g you are sus)was said by the CEO of Tesla, SpaceX, and numerous other companies Elon Musk, who is quite a popular person to the younger generations due to his personality and fondness of memes, AKA an edited image in order to convey a joke. The context for this was in a sketch on the popular show SNL(Saturday Night Live) which writes and produces numerous comedic sketches made by a celebrity. This particular sketch in which Musk said “sus” was a short poking fun at the younger generation of their use of vocabulary, thus the word sus making sense in this context.
