"Competence" doesn't mean much when women are the judges in partner selection. Guidos with piles of fiat are "competent" to women raised without an arranged marriage and strong father. When fathers are doing the deciding, that's when competence matters. A man's benchpress and understanding of his history and culture are much more important than his hairline or fiat earning potential. "Doing well for yourself" means lots of fiat coming in, in the gynocracy. This is not competence. We need to go back.
