To be fair if you’re riding a bike without a helmet you’re just retarded. All it takes is one good rock to skull impact and you’re brain dead.
You could fall walking and break your head, too. The direction we're headed, you probably will be required to wear a helmet while walking, too.
The likelihood of you falling and breaking your head while walking is extremely unlikely if you’re not a fat fuck, whereas riding a bike and flying off for reasons at your fault or not of your fault isn’t. You’re also not going walking speed on a bike, so your impact would be much greater and deadlier. I’ve met many professional cyclists and mountain bikers and they all agree that not wearing a helmet is a really fucking stupid idea.
However, if you want to risk serious injury to spite the government, you do you.
Oh, I don't ride bikes. I don't want to die.
I mean at least not as a mode of transportation around where I live. Idiots would kill you with their car. I have no problem riding them on the beach or whatever. Mountain biking is not my thing.
So everyone was retarded before helmets became the law? Basically everyone riding a bike in the 70 s, 80s, part of the 90 s...
Actually it really started with the seatbelt laws.
That was when every started to drive around looking like an ASCII table.
LOOKING LIKE AN ASCII TABLE.
GET IT?!!??!??
Just because people did something commonly in the past doesn’t mean it wasn’t stupid. Remember bloodletting?
Weve applied quality control to every aspect of our lives. Hows it working out?
