I watched the first and while technically well-done, I couldn't connect at all with the characters. Something essential was missing. I loved RE4 on PS2 and wanted to like the movies.

its suspense. the games are a horror-action blend, and the games protagonists feel realistic, if maybe somewhat enhanced by their virus immunity, but the movies are pure action and the protagonists are near invincible zombie killing anime characters.

I liked all the movies and actually bought the whole collection. Some of them were better than others, but i found them all entertaining.
