This guy I know did this with a box truck and a bridge. He borrowed the truck from work to move some shit and smashed it into a low bridge like an idiot. Since he borrowed the truck insurance couldn't cover it and he had to pay thousands out of pocket to repair the truck. Lol

Idiot proofing would be putting a very large I-beam at the low height right at the entrance. No one too large will ever even make it into the garage.

Those trucks usually indicate on the inside of the cab the height if your truck

Echoing what the other guy said, it's usually rust and other build up since they likely haven't been used in awhile. That's why the liquid becomes clear after a couple of seconds.
