When I looked at a job posting for the local district, they had 6 months of paid time off. That's vacation, sick, holidays, the meetings, and the summer. That was about 10 years ago now, I'm sure they have more free time.

Except that's not true. They teach for 7 hours per day. When do you think they prepare lesson plans, grade tests, talk to parents, perform administrative duties, and if they're good teachers put in the time beyond that to go the extra mile?
