This is actually partially correct. By keeping teachers’ salaries low, we attract people who are worth those low salaries. Honestly, if I could make good money being a teacher, I absolutely would do that.
I used to think teachers were all intelligent and awesome. Now as an adult with kids, I see what they really are: Mostly sub-average people who work about as hard as their salary dictates.
And don’t get me started on the administrators or union reps. They should all be fired and not replaced. Fuck all of those sub human things.
Partly blame feminism. Teaching primary school used to be a "woman's job" that was respected and admired by society. Some of the best and most dedicated women did it for the social prestige even though it was not well paid. Then feminists said it was too low level. Women should be highly paid administrators and lawyers. Now it's mostly the least bright and motivated women who become teachers. They are gullible SJWs who are easily influenced and lazy.
