I recommend one in the key of C, it's the most popular key for rock and folk. If you want to play really ancient stuff like "On Top of Old Smokey" and "She'll Be Comin' 'Round the Mountain" then get one in the key of G.

Good advice. Regulates your breath and increases CO2 content, which can help a panic attack subside. A little like the technique of breathing into a brown paper bag to increase CO2.
