Check OP's post habits before playing the devil's advocate. He's flooding reposts of faggit memes on a daily basis.

FYI is a default sub

Based admin calling out faggotry instead of taking the back seat. Love him or hate him it makes him way more relatable and trustworthy than (((other sites))) where the admins were mostly mysterious and hiring trannies on the backend. Voat team was filled with trannies and other weirdos for some (((bizarre reason))).

So I’m curious, do you feel there is something inherently inappropriate about posting some low effort humor in a default? Or something nefarious to OPs aims?

I feel some non political content can help ease normies into our staple content, and don’t personally see anything wrong with some shitty Facebook memes if the community enjoys and upvotes them.

Interested in your take on it.

We are keeping an eye on these low effort posts, because in the past, some accounts used that technique to slide relevant information down the queue and make it less visible to users.

We also get notified by the algorithm when some suspicious accounts are only used to upvote (aka vote gaming).

Thanks for the reply, that makes sense.

Follow up, I thought the upvote downvote policy around here was that downvoting is discouraged unless something is off topic? I really don't find myself using the downvote a lot, if at all, compared to the upvote. Does this policy make it harder to catch vote gaming? Or are there still signs?
