That's not a roundabout, that's a standard intersection with rounded corners and an island in the middle. A real roundabout is much larger so the turning radius isn't stupid.
Notice all zero signs they have up helping people with this new abomination.
There is no case in driving in the US where you're supposed to drive to the left, except on one-way roads. People do this stupidity any time there's a circle, not just a roundabout. Even in a campground with a loop people break left and drive the wrong way almost as often as the right way. The even do it in a grocery store where there's a narrow aisle that forms a loop. I don't understand how this is so hard for people.
i think roundabouts would still work in the US its just not something you do. You just go in the opposite direction. Ive had standing rows with people about who goes first. "Give way to the right." "oh but oh but thats not always true beca-" "NAME ME A FUCKING ROUNDABOUT IN AUSTRALIA YOU HAVE CARS COMING AT YOU FROM THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION"
In your case youd be going counter clockwise and giving way to everything on your left.
The UK DOES have one good thing that isnt common here that i picked up and still do now... coming out of roundabouts with multi lanes they actually indicate when theyre turning off, rather than indicating that youre going around the roundabout then just fuckiing off whichever exit at random like we do here. Which way are you pointing your car now vs which way do you intend to go.
