Truth is eternal, universal, and objective. To say, "I must believe this because my ancestors did" is the same reasoning that keeps some people living lives in huts and raping children in perpetuity. You talk like I have betrayed a long line of pagans, while my ancestors before those believed something else entirely, and the ones after were Christian pioneers who tamed wilderness and built lives for their families in new lands after departing nations unfortunately falling to Jewish influence. God has revealed truth in different ways and times to different peoples in different places. Men have also formed their own stories to make sense of the world or try to teach principles to their descendants. There are also millenia of corruption, and not all beliefs are equally correct or beneficial to humanity. In my desire to be ever less ignorant, there is much I have learned from the stories of my ancestors and those of others, and I hope to continue to learn my entire life. Nothing my Savior - who is not a foreign God but a universal one - has taught me has told me to be ashamed of my light skin, hair, and eyes, or that I bear any "fault" because of my bloodline. On the contrary, I was taught to remember my ancestors, honor my family, and to make use of anything good I have learned from those who came before me.
