I once worked at a buyer's office, and there were only women working there, including upper management. The only person who ever fit this type of work ethic was the top manager's secretary. Everyone else was busy, all the time. There were literally not enough hours in the day to get everything done. Just as with anything else, whatever the management and the job allows, will the employees take advantage of. It's not a women or men thing, it's a people in general thing. If you fire people for not doing their job, the new hire will know about it through talk and the behavior of those who weren't hired. They'll do better or be fired also.
