Maybe dig deeper, son. Breathing exercises might be helpful but ensuring hardships or “hormesis” is not beneficial like they claim. This guy is either a charlatan or a loon like Buddha. But he is definitely using other techniques in addition to his “hardships”

I think you proved my point

I didn't really have a point, it just reminded me of that.

I know, son. I meant enduring hardships in the sense of not always striving to be as comfortable as possible. Embracing the pain of fitness, or hard labor, or weather, or whatever. Not in his full-blown "unlock your cell's potential" kind of way.

Actually, cell’s potential is the one thing he might be right about. You probably know that mitochondria are at the heart of our health etc with the atp production etc etc. So anything that improves mitochondrial health and increases atp, is actually very good for you. However, the fucker is wrong about how to do it. Hard labour is, in fact, not good on your body. Neither is extreme weather, particularly cold weather or direct heat. Some exhaustion is good but not too much. It all comes down to inflammation, son. Look it up
