Dumbass could have saved himself by being less dumb.

In foreign countries its very common that the standard plugs are 220v rather than 110v. No ground and faulty wiring you get this. Guy would probably be alive if it were 110v. Even then its nothing to play around with.

In most cases 220 will hit you hard enough to knock you back while 110 will hit you just hard enough to grab hold of you so you can't let go.

True. But what i thought typically kills you if you get hit by 110v is asphyxiation due to not being able to breath because your muscles lock up and if the current is high enough then fibrillation of the heart. It takes both combination of current and voltage to kill you. Touching a distributor cap on a car is like 4kv but the current is very low. A cars battery has 700 amps but only at 12v.

Hard to say. Higher voltage means higher current when resistance is unchanged (e=i*r). it's just as likely that he would have died on a 120v circuit because it takes like 1 amp to kill you if uninterrupted.

Yep correct. I've seen guys in the Philippines put a metal ladder against power lines. Was getting ready to see the great arc of Jesus. But nothing happened.
