Like a guy I know who constantly swills down protein shakes and stuff to lose weight but eats mostly icecream and sugar covered sweet rolls in the middle of the night so he can stay up all night watching TV and then sleep all day. They pretend to care about their health but want it all to be the responsibility of other people.

question should be actually, "Why do soda corporations .. , that is because pepsi.co is to cheap to have US and metric for the US and the rest of the world at the same time, OR it would require machinery and bottles made for 2 systems and instead they said fuck it lets go with China for our standard.
We use metric for all sorts of stuff. Water and other drinks usually though you will find it on just about anything in parentheses or in smaller print.
People come from all over to visit our costco. The perks of living semi-rurally surrounded by farming.
One of the things I see every time I go there is at least one family of mexicans(or whatever, mudbloods of some sort anyways). They usually have 5 to 8 children, all screaming, pulling 3 carts and blocking as many aisles at once as possible.
One cart has soda in it. Just soda. Another will be shit like potato chips and cookies. And the one in front will be a cart full of fried food and microwave food and other such garbage.
And remember, these are costco carts, much larger than a normal one. Probably all paid for by you.
The soda would be diet to cancel out all the other calories
