Depends which version. I'll never forget when our teacher rented the R-rated one with all the little bastards swearing up a storm.
Lmao which version is that? I have only seen one and I have no idea if it's the R rated one or not. I don't even know if the same thing happens in both.
The 1990 one by Harry Hook.
After Jack dropped the third or fourth F-bomb, she paused it and we all booed. She let us finish it under the condition we don't tell on her. We didn't.
On another note, didn't a real life Lord of the Flies situation occur? Heard it was exactly the opposite of the book; a social hierarchy formed and shit got done. Not talking about the Survivor incident, but that sorta counts as well.
Yes. You are correct about the real life version. I just saw a little documentary on it a few days ago.
Couple boys in Tonga stole a boat and took it out. They hit a storm and were shipped wreck on a deserted island. I believe it was for 15 months. They were rescued by an Australian fisherman. A news station heard about it and had the boys reenact how they lived for the camera before they went home. Upon return home they were arrested for stealing the boat. The Australian fisherman paid off the boat and the boys were released. 1 became a priest and 1 became best friends and worked for the fisherman.
Kind of funny hearing how they resolved differences. Sometimes they argued. Sometimes they had fist fights. But after cooling off they always came back together.
....sorry for droning on. But that's the story.
In 1972 a Uruguayan Airforce plane with 40 passengers was off corse and crashed in the Andes with 33 survivors . After a week the snack bars and inflight peanuts ran out so they started on the bodies. Not quite the same as LOTF but interesting all the same.
