I have no doubt they are genuine. Nearly all humans feel a desure to express themselves. Thus our rich culture in art. White folks are the only ones who create anything worth the effort though.

Asian cultures create some objectively beautiful art, but nothing that speaks to my soul the way European artists can. However the beautiful playing of Yo-Yo Ma does get pretty close sometimes.
