I have mixed European heritage, including Italian, and I have dark and fairly curly hair, too. People have mistaken me for a Jew before. But my nose is Roman and not particularly big. People are, frankly, a bit too quick to think that anyone with pale skin and dark hair is Jewish. There really aren't that many of them. But I guess it's that outsize influence thing.
