Even by the description, there is no way it is really possible. It takes a huge amount of current to make a body burn. Fire is much easier. The Germans are known for their intelligence and ability to understand engineering. They would not have done it that way for very long if they did it at all.

It's ridiculous on its face. If the floor plate was conductive then the current wouldn't go through the jews. It would go through the plate. If it was non-conductive, then the current would have to arc through the air. Either way it's ridiculous.
