They lack the fundamental empathy for their Communism to ever fool their people with highfalutin moral ideology. It's just straight power politics, through and through. They, at the very least, are not dumbed into their political state like drooling virtue-signaling zombies. Instead, they're a bunch of resentful, oppressed racists, with a reason to be pissed, and without a goddamned single misgiving about the brute nature of the world. Combined with their machine-like quality, this makes them infinitely more prepared for success in the world to come than we are. Depending on our level of armament, I'd be afraid of a ground war against the Chinese, especially if they found their way in through the West coast, which has become increasingly more destabilized and liberalized. I worry they'd face more of a challenge from Mexicans than they would born-in-the-bone Americans.

Man, now I'm sitting here getting paranoid that the West coast has been destabilized to prepare for that.

Fuck. I'm picturing Rico and Diz standing on a cliff as the bugs start to pour out of a cave, crawling over each other. It's an ugly planet, it's a bug planet. They've got 2 million active duty currently, the largest navy in the world, and a ground-to-air defense system that's well beyond ours, not to mention more than half-a-mil in reserve troops and a population that could be forced into an ad hoc draft and mobilized far more quickly than we could. How far east inland could they push before they encountered substantial resistance? Of course they've got the elevation problem to deal with I'm not a military strategist, but am I right to be worried about this particular scenario? Somebody with some knowledge give me some commentary here.
