I think it is just symptomatic of a rabid feminism emanating mostly from ugly women who need to feel that they are the object of some detached, diffuse masculine need to rape them. By removing things like this from media to 'keep them safe', it socially validates their concerns about being sexual objects, when in fact what these women sense is a lack of sexual objectification. It's a very backward way of feeling desired when they don't get those outward signals anywhere in their actual lives. It's certainly not a male force in industry that is removing these sexual qualities in media representations, because if anything, sexualizing things in commerce increases their appeal. Another way to put it would be that these things must be removed from media to give the appearance of a problem these women want to have, but don't actually have. If you guys haven't noticed the uniting thread with most of this leftist nonsense today, it's that they are all larps. Creating this atmosphere on the internet and letting its effects bleed into the real world through policy is allowing these people to live out narratives that ennoble their otherwise unsatisfying existences. Yes, these racial and gender-categorical things are all larps, because on the internet, they found communities unbounded by regular social forces, and for the first time these people felt a sense of purpose and power. People who are not used to power tend not to have a clue what to do with it, other than to attempt to multiply it, or over-extend it.
