Gee whiz, I wonder. Last time I heard the wind magically blew the ship ashore at around 10 mph at exactly the right angle to not only jam the prow 15 feet under the sand but to also block the entire canal... in just about the only place this would be possible (the canal has 2 separate channels just a bit farther north).

All of this happened, of course, because the power mysteriously went out and the back up genny wouldn't start. Hmmm... really get the noggin joggin'.

A super-cargo ship had a mysterious double-power failure, hit the side of the canal and blocking it thereby causing world-wide shipping delays. This is the waiting pattern it made just before entering.

The little ship is probably making sure these super-tankers/cargo ships are who they say they are, pay for their passage, and assign them their entry order number.

Other than maneuvering to get lined up(this is a huge ship after all) or to counter ocean currents, it should be sitting as relatively still as the other blips in the OP video.

so, i did some research:

the evergreen corporation that owns the vessel is based in taiwan. strange. so neither the chinese nor the jEws who seem the most obvious forces to commit such crimes arent directly implied.

which is a good choice for both these factions to choose exactly this Corp for their attack.

there is only one hint in the history of the corporation:

its first big success was to secure a trade root with "the middle east".

so more likely that there are jEwish connections than chinese.

yet of course thats not much, but maybe someone who can read taiwanese is more likely to find out more, especially the identity of the captain and crew.

i would not be surprised if some of them get suicided.
