This is funny but I think this highlights the fundamental flaw in modern "collectivist" mentality.

I know I'm preaching to the choir on this site, but I believe that the whole point of freedom is to be able to prepare yourself for the inevitable "emergencies" that will arise.

Collectivism tricks people into thinking that their existence is guaranteed, and that there should be an external, third party that underwrites their very existence.

The truly free man knows that the only thing on which he may rely in this chaotic universe is his own ability. And the truly wise free man understands that in extreme cases, even his own ability is not enough. It is this reality that forces us to consider collectivism as a means to insure ourselves in times of famine. How much of our freedom can we be conned into yielding before we understand that most "emergencies" are artificially created for that very purpose of driving collectivism?

The founding of the United States of America began by acknowledging we were all free men, equal under our creator. But then it acknowledged that there must be a social contract where we yield certain freedoms in order to support one another. In our current political climate, we have almost completely forgotten that we are yielding freedoms with every new law and rule invoked. It is a slow grind until we're nothing but the mere serfs that many of our ancestors once were.

Uh. You *do* know that sign was put up by a troll, right? Not that you're wrong, but still...

I figured as much, but still decided to post anyway. Reminds me of "good ole days" back in late '80s when real anarchist friends would do stuff like this to make NPC dullards mistrust big companies AND government. Or at least question what they saw. Most of the time was only good for laugh, but maybe activated a brain cell or two.

They would have had a hayday with today's clownworld.

Ya, I just feel like the humor makes us forget how horrifying the current condition in which we find ourselves actually is.

I'm sorry for being a buzzkill.

That's actually one of their best tactics

HAHAHA everything is fine goyim enjoy the theater )))

Well put. I do believe in an old time selective "collectivism" comprised of community(back when not transient) members and extended family, neighbors etc. Slackers were excluded. Still belong to a good rural electric co-op with excellent service and decent rates, although they did get $ to start from govt. 60 years ago. On the for-profit side though, I own part of a share (as many local customers do) of small phone company who is excellent ISP. My dad, his father and smarter farmers bought one share(the limit) back in 1950s when no big company would serve them.
