Lands are only occupied because somebody colonised them at some point. I’m Irish. There were people here 5-6,000 years ago we know because some of the stuff they built is still here, but nobody knows who they were. The Celts came here (colonised) less than 3,000 years ago so we all consider ourselves Celtic/Gaelic. But then the vikings and Normans came here (colonised) about a thousand years ago and mixed with the Celts that were already here from the previous colonisation so in reality we’re all Gael/Nord colonists here. Then the scotch planted (colonised) the northern part of the island about 500 years ago, but to be honest they really should fuck off home.
