Depends on the horror movie. Most of them seem to stress the pre-eminence of evil and completely fuck up actual demonology, etc. They can glorify evil. I know people who’ve literally formed their entire opinion about Christianity and theology based off of *Supernatural*. But at the same time, evangelicals can be a bit kooky about stuff like that.
