Unfortunately if you have truly independent thought you will be rejected by both tribal sides. This is because you're stepping outside the bounds of accepted discourse. It's like two people arguing who is a better player, or a better team, while you are trying to explain that the game is rigged, because how much gambling money is involved. *edit, centrists do not have independent thought they just pick from column a and column b, but like the right and left they fail to see the bigger picture.
