Okay - this is confusing.

"Wiener" is correct. It's a reference to Wien (Vienna) where our hot-dog sausage was born.

"Weiner" is a parasites name.

Now I'm confused so the first time I spelled it was correct? I've always seen it spelled like a kikes last name. Interesting history on it's origin though kinda like how hamburger comes from Hamburg and bologna comes from Bolgna Italy.
