Did you use the phonebook + telephone or just went to local ammunition stores + google.com?

Neither, checking with local retailers; they typically have muzzle loading and sometimes shot shell reloading supplies in stock however pistol and rifle components are stripped bare save for the bizarre rounds not many people use.

Buy bizarre rounds + bizarre gun which utilizes said rounds = profit

I tried that, 500 magnum is still out of stock everywhere! Though it did maintain the same price for a couple months and I had a little while to make fun of the other guys.

Why don't you buy those "bizarre" rounds and re-use the supposed ingredients from them?

The only two interchangeable components, for the most part, are the powder and primers. Those two are the ones that can be hard to find and if you do are several times what they used to be. I'm not struggling for ammo so I've no need to disassemble rounds to make different ones.

No gun store I know of here carries much reloading stuff.
