This is commonly called a "phone holder"

[–] 3 pts

Lol just like the oil filters online that also suppress your handguns

[–] 4 pts

They're not suppressors, they're solvent traps.

It's a cleaning device, bro.

It also reduces the amount of burnt gasses from the cartridge. It helps the environment

I feel like ammo isn't getting any less precious come the Civil War. If you can afford to spew it, you probably already won.

Biden seemingly made good ammo about 5 times too expensive... even before his illegal regime assumed power.

That's a terrible spring.

Think about the guys in the woods making flintlock rifles and pistols with far less tools and materials available to them than you can easily find now....

Think hardenable steel, files and a hacksaw, and a propane torch.

Coat hangers work well to hold clothes and as welding rods but suck as springs.

It'll work but from my understanding it's pretty unreliable

Current new civilian semi autos will not accept what is called an autoshear.

TIL good thing mine is almost as old me

This mainly pre 90s stuff fyi. Dont know how old you are but if you can do this, make the real deal and skimp on the coat hanger spring. Most of the time you get what you pay for

I have my dad's ar 15 he bought in the late 80s I no you have to drill a hole some where I saw it on weekendgunnit just thought it was funny

If you're talking about the raised shelf, there are a number of manufacturers like KAC that don't have it.

The bolt carrier can be changed.

Someone compared with a binary trigger and binary could go faster. Go digital.

Yankee Boogle is a much better alternative.

Volume is better used in altillery whereas accuracy is better in your hands

"I said no wire hangers!"

[–] 1 pt

I mean it's great for suppressive fire, but you are going to burn through bullets really quickly, considering the shortage, you're probably better off without the auto-sear anyway.

[–] 1 pt

No, from what I 'member this example wears out too fast to be practical.

[–] 1 pt

That makes sense it's just a coat hanger probably wouldn't last more than a few shots

[–] 1 pt

> wouldn't last more than a few shots

And on full auto that's gonna equal 3-5 shots down range and then an inoperable weapon.

There are 3D print version. Search "Yankee Boogle".

Unless that wire snaps it will keep working. Its doing nothing but holding down the sear.
