We're hitting the peak of this nonsense and what's going to happen is all these businesses scale it back while some consumers' attention is directed elsewhere. Even if they don't actively practice it they won't ever mention their racism again and since most people have the attention of goldfish it will be forgotten. We can't let people forget about this bullshit or let the businesses hear the last of it.
Gillette is a good example. They are still hearing about that abomination of a man hating commercial from a few years back and their stock has plummeted. They've been chasing back that market with tryhard pseudo masculine commercials but that just makes people remind them even more frequently.
By this time next year (if not sooner) this type of bullshit will slowly roll back. We can't let it.
