Please don’t misunderstand me, I am not in favor of masks. But, something that people seemed to mostly understand on voat yet they don’t here is that masks were never intended to protect the wearer, they were intended to protect people around the wearer in the case that the wearer didn’t know they were infected. They’re not filters, they’re not intended to keep the virus in or out, they’re intended to keep particles from moving far away from the wearer. Again, the virus is bullshit, masks are bullshit, lockdowns are bullshit; but when people spread memes like this it just makes us look retarded because they don’t argue against what the masks are supposed to prevent at all.
