In the UK, never owned a TV license, switched to internet only in 2005. I get a letter every 3 years asking of I still don't need one. That's it. Nobody has ever visited. Nobody calls or harasses. I simply said I don't need one. This is a heavily exaggerated meme. For the record I own a TV, I just use it as a large monitor.
