I think you underestimate to level of propaganda on "TV". For every snippet of factual data, you get oligarch value judgement, product placement within programming followed by add placement for said product. The estimated time to place value on products is 15 minutes on every hour. Most people leave television on for ambiance, so basically a society of Manchurian candidates. I wouldn't put up with any of the above on my PC. Matter of fact, go out of my way to avoid it.
