It sounds like they skipped out on the day of school when they taught the word “freedom”. You’re not given freedom by them to do as you wish if you have to face consequences from them, meaning they’re lying. You know what I usually do in return to that statement. I get out my Swiss knife and carve their throat and face making a hollowed out pumpkin face while telling them I am making them face the consequences of their “freedom”.
