That’s a great article but you also need to consider the LSD experiments that the CIA did with Robert Hunter and Ken Kesey, who in turn started the Acid Tests with the Grateful Dead.
Robert Hunter wrote most of the lyrics for the Jerry Garcia songs, and John Perry Barlow wrote the lyrics for the songs that Bob Weir sang. Weir has been to the Bohemian Grove and is on camera saying it. Barlow died a year or two ago, but was involved with the CIA in some regard, and I think was even mentioned by Q if you buy into that.
McGowen goes into the LSD op in later parts of the Inside the LC series. Its been a while since I've read all of them so I can't tell you which one specifically.
