Yep. I'm pretty in favor of most of Texas gun laws.
Another one I appreciate:
- During the day: you shoot a guy running away from you ... you will likely get a murder (or manslaughter) charge.
- At night, it can be difficult to tell if someone is running at you or running away. Shadows can be tricky. So ... at night ... you get the benefit of the doubt. (Obviously other factors play into this.)

Right! A big delta between my example is yours is the land ownership. In my example, we are assuming both parties are on ground owned by a 3rd party. (Like a parking lot of a shopping center where muggings happen at night.)
