Why do people even fucking bother with Twitter? It's the National Enquirer of the internet. Its shit.
The good little goy pets will never give up their bread and circuses apparently.
I can think of two reasons:
A bunch of tech projects use it as an RSS feed, so if they're down they'll usually post updates there
Redpilling normies
Clearly you should educate yourself on how addictions work. Combine that with the Id and only then will social media make any sense.
I get on it sometimes to make truthful comments and it usually results in a lot of pearl-clutching and "let's unpack this"...Twitter is definitely a garbage bin of banal bullshit but sometimes you've gotta get on the front lines and give the normies some cognitive dissonance.
