I saw the the association between males smoking going down, and males getting obese and effete going up, theory does seem to hold water. Unfortunately, the better support for the theory seems to be how smoking affects women (moar T = more osteoporosis and earlier menopause), but women shouldn't have been smoking anyhow. TBH I wonder if smoking offset all the estrogen from beer consumption. On the other hand, I have seen too many complete soylents who smoke like chimneys. Seems to me that there are probably other factors in play as the WW2 generation smoked like chimneys yet wasn't soylent.
