Yeah ok, i concur. I tried growing a tobacco plant when i was much younger and didn't take care of it, so naturally it died from lack of water. However i should really get my ass back into it , esp considering the great amount of kits and online help info etc available these days ...
Yeah bro, do it. Its not difficult or expensive, you have to have proper PH, fertility and watering/drainage, then it grows like a weed. You really don't need many plants for personal use either, about 15 medium sized ones will cover heavy smokers for a year+. The seeds are hugely variable, some are for flavor while some are for high nicotine concentrations. One called "Aztec" is almost poisionously high in nicotine, but tastes harsh af. "Burley" is a nice and mild one to mix with, and of course the "Virginian" varieties are famous.
