Eh, not so fast. I’ve known a few dumb fucks who’s kid or grandkid had asthma, and these fuckers smoked in the house day and night with the kid there from the time it was an infant.
Our parents smoked in the house with closed windows when we were kids. 4 of us and not one has asthma. If second hand smoke caused asthma that would be impossible. In fact, asthma is increasing as smoking decreases.
Well, I only know what little I know. My dad smoked a pipe in the house when I was little. I liked the smell, but I’ve been on a ventilator all my life and I have to wheel around a four horsepower air compressor with me wherever I go, just to get a deep hit of air now and then.

If tobacco smoke caused that kind of damage everyone exposed to tobacco smoke would be on a ventilator. I'm sure the smoke didn't help, but it didn't take a healthy set of lungs and damage them to that extent.
