My dad smoked when I was a kid and it smelled bad then.

Now I miss the smell cause he’s gone.

How the hell is that BS when it chokes me to be around it? You can make all the bullshit excuses or rationalizations you want but THAT IS affecting others around you. If it's hard for others to breath around you that isn't doing nothing.

If smoke is more than an inconvenience, the problem is with you. I think there's a limit to how far other people should have to go to accommodate you. I mean, should no one be able to light a wood fire anywhere, because you might be affected by the smoke?

daughter in law asked me not to smoke around my grandchildren and i don't have a problem with it. it keeps the peace and i love my grandchildren .

Eh, not so fast. I’ve known a few dumb fucks who’s kid or grandkid had asthma, and these fuckers smoked in the house day and night with the kid there from the time it was an infant.

Our parents smoked in the house with closed windows when we were kids. 4 of us and not one has asthma. If second hand smoke caused asthma that would be impossible. In fact, asthma is increasing as smoking decreases.
