I think there are probably many great values in Nordic, Germanic and pre-Roman Celtic ancient religions. I knew quite a few women who called themselves wiccans, druids, and pagans in the mid 1980s. I think they grossly perverted the history and cut and pasted bits to fit their feminist/goddess agenda. A lot was based on a few pseudo-academic books from late '60s and 70's.
