Opie and Anthony show. Louis CK made the “Nigger origin“ joke. It was THE GREAT Patrice O’Neal with the “kike origin”. That ep of the Opie and Anthony show is all over the place. Patrice was, arguably, their best “regular” guest. He saved them from being fired multiple times for racial stuff, he constantly defended freedom of speech. Everybody loved Patrice - even all of the racists I know still love Patrice. He was one of those guys that when he was right it was truly astonishingly brilliant and when he was wrong he was still hilarious. The Opie and Anthony show were secondary to Howard, though MUCH funnier at their peak. They never got the credit they truly deserved. Every year for the last several years of their show, they would dedicate the month of October to making fun of hacky radio shows from across the country. It was a bit called “Jocktober” and there are hundreds of them online. Mercilessly destroying every shitty morning show in the country. A lot of the humor is a little bit dated now, but for people who love freedom of speech it’s essential that we keep these broadcasts. No one will ever be able to do this again. Sounds like a silly thing to say about dick jokes and retard humor. But you can’t even call people retards anymore. They did it daily. And much, much worse. And some of their opinions were laughably stupid but who cares. Anyone trying to say the stuff they said, and actually say it live on the air? That will never happen again. It took me a little while to get all the inside humor but once I got caught up it was the funniest thing I’ve ever heard from about 2002 until 2014 when the funniest guy on the show was fired for tweeting racial slurs and racist comments. Since Patrice had died a couple years earlier from a stroke, he wasn’t there to defend them and the show was destroyed. Anthony does The Anthony Cumia show on his own network and some of the shows are good.
