Different people have different tolerances for recoil. I personally love high recoil... I have a old shoulder injury and the recoil from the buttock actually is perfect for setting it properly. I come away from the range feeling like I got a therapeutic message... but that is just me. I have taken a lot of people to the range for the first time and I have seen 100lb teen age girls have a blast and big guys get bruises. Appearances are not a good predictor of how thick their skin is (in the literal sense).

BUT NOT FROM AN AR! ... .223/5.56 is a hoped up .22 and it is a semi-automatic which absorbs most of the recoil. If it was a .223 bolt action I could maybe see someone getting light bruising. And PTSD? please... it's laughable.

Look at NJ and their (((common))) sense gun control. Adding a 2 week "cool off" period to firearm purchases, whilst negating that most firearms can take up to a year to buy, just a humongous middle finger to firearm buyers. All this because most people in NJ have never bought or shot a firearm, and legimetaly think that you can just walk into a gun store and buy a gun, in Jersey of all places. They never stop and think, if it were that easy, why is there all of maybe 2 gun stores total in the entire state?

I had to search for this, thought that this is just some "meme", where someone copy/pasted a random text on an image that had nothing to do with the initial image. Nope, it's real,it happened back in 2016.

The over the top exaggeration is just laughable, like not only did it feel to him he was shooting a bazooka, it also gave him temporary PTSD. What is next, "It gave me flashbacks about how my family must have felt during the holocaust, I felt like a Nazi guard at Treblinka".
