Honestly, rabbits and horses are delicious.
I like rabbit, but I can't bring myself to eat horse. We have a couple and I see them more like our dog or cats. I would have to be starving before I could eat them.
That is absolutely the tough part with them. They're such affable tasty beasts. I probably would never do it myself either, unless my whole family needed it in order to survive... and even then as an absolute last case scenario. Maybe. An alive horse sounds kind of more useful than a temporarily full belly, thinking logically. Bu they breed like crazy in the wild...
Nah, the tough part is the hide. After you're through that, you're good.
There's a horse slaughterhouse here. There was a video awhile back of a dude saying fuck you to peta or someone, and recorded himself shooting a horse between the eyes with a pistol. They ship the meat to mexico I believe

I'd eat zebra. I love game animals.
You know what is delicious? Kangaroo. I have a couple pounds in the freezer. Eat some every few weeks. Its like the leanest, most tender beef you ever had in your life. Best fucking meat.
I've had kangaroo but I didn't think much of it. It was on a pizza so maybe the preparation wasn't good.
never tried horse always figured it would be really tough. rabbit is fricking amazing tho
wild rabbit make some of the best spaghetti on the planet. Pan fry, lots of black pepper, then make a nice simple tomato sauce with the fried rabbit- f'ing good times.
No way! I've never seen a rabbit who can cook at all, let alone make the best spaghetti!
Is horse meat tough?
Not what I had.
I'd imagine it depends on the horse. In most countries horses aren't bred for meat, so the ones that get turned into steak/dogfood/burgers are elderly and past their prime.
