I disagree. His forte was recreating real vistas and architecture. Abstraction is only a measure of creativity, not skill.

I'm not even sure I would say that Abstraction is a measure of creativity, as it always seems to be described to me as some sort of attempt at subversion by the artist...and it always looks like absolute crap.
So what were his best works?

Maybe they're not masterpieces, but to call any of those "mediocre" is selling him short, when he was clearly not your average amateur.
He likes carpentry and building cabins too lol
