As a European I always use Sweden as a reference point to see how bad things have gotten. For example, someone complains about globalist policies in our country, I say "Yeah at least we're not Sweden levels yet" "Could be worse, we could be in Sweden", etc.
It's sad but it's the truth. Last I heard a right-wing anit-immigrant party had won elections in Sweden or something, though, so maybe there's hope yet. Seeing a "Swede" from Somalia, Iraq or whatever really breaks my heart.
